Markarth is a major city located in Skyrim:The Reach, near the border to High Rock.

It is housed in an ancient Dwemer city giving it architecture which is different from most cities in Skyrim. Rather than consisting of entirely free standing structures, much of the city is carved into the rockface which surrounds it.

Honestly, my machine does have a lot of power.. but the engine itself, just like back in the days with Oblivion and Morrowind, is just a great piece of programming and optimization. It runs well and looks decent on almost any PC that isn't considered ancient these days.

Stitching the panorama takes around half a minute

yay for 64bit software
and the game itself.. well, the GPU does the job. CPU is just idling around.
